Understanding Type Matchups

Pokemon battles operate on a 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' mechanic, but far more complex. Some types are super effective (2x damage), while others are not very effective (0.5x damage) or immune (0x damage).

How Dual Types Work

  1. If both of a Pokemon's types are weak to an attack (e.g., Fire/Flying vs. Rock), it takes <strong>4x damage</strong>.
  2. If one type is weak and the other resists (e.g., Water/Flying vs. Electric), the damage becomes neutral (1x).
  3. If one type is immune (e.g., Ground vs. Electric), the Pokemon takes <strong>0 damage</strong> regardless of its secondary type.
